They're doing the IRS telephone scam. They've tried it before with me. They will threaten and try to get you to give them money. Don't do it. The IRS has warning on their site about the scam. https://www.irs.gov/uac/newsroom/scam-phone-c ... uspicious-calls.
Received repeated calls today from number 2064830008. This robotic voice gives a number days a woman's name purporting to be an IRS Officer and asking me to return call. In the past I have gotten them with threats but this one no actual threat.
They just called me I called back and I told him my first and last name that was it and of course I became suspicious because I know many people from India and I never met a Kevin Lee.....He gave me his worker ID, IRS number and case number. Apparently there were discrepancies in my tax returns. I don't know how they would know because I did not give them my SSN or anything else. Big scam. I tried calling the IRS for verification and could not reach anyone.
This is an IRS scam. Very rude Middle Eastern person wanting a money on a gift card. Interesting way to pay "The IRS". Anyway youtube has a gem of videos of people talking to these scammers.
