I'm in Kingston and have just gotten a call from them on my cell phone. No one would have this number except friends and family, so it was clearly sold to them by Rogers. Can't say I am surprised considering the track record of Rogers. Thank God I only have a few months left on my stupid contract with them.
They called my cell everyday. I live in Toronto and with Bell too. I never gave out my cell number other then people that I know. I suspect that bell sold our numbers to telemarketer.
I got a two calls from this number also -- today and yesterday. I think it's a company that's verifying that your number is in service and answers so they can sell good numbers to telemarketers. I never answer numbers that I don't know because, well, that's what I use voice mail for. No message left by them. I've had the same experience with other numbers. They stop after a few days.
Yes - I have received this call several days in a row at different times from telephone number 206-496-0410 on my cell phone. Pick up and no answer (call disconnects).
Received calls from Washington and Oregon with no reply. Think it is a telemarketing company.
Many of us at work in our department all received a telemarketer automated computer voice with the "are you in debt" with the "to eliminate your debt". We received it all on our landline office phones and also on our cell phones. Very strange but appears that a list most likely was sold to some telemarketing company or maybe owned by a telecommunications company that sells cell phones (who knows).
These calls are becoming annoying. This same number has called me again today around the same time my phone rang yesterday. I am also getting calls from Oregon. I like the 911 idea LOL! Too bad I don't have a cell plan and it would cost a small fortune to answer otherwise I would totally do that!
I also like the idea of setting the number as spam and setting it to a silent ringer and no vibrate.
