Don't you know? ... "Political Surveys" are exempt from the DNC list!
ANYONE can call your number by just saying they want you to answer a few of their survey questions first. THEN they ask for your credit card numbers and any other information they can con you into giving them.
I'm surprised that out of all these people, only one person realizes what is going here. This isn't justan annoying political survey. In fact, it's not a political survey at all. It's a fraud to try to acquire your credit card information.
When you answer, it claims that it is a political survey and you will receive a free cruise to the Bahamas and all you have to do is pay a small tax and port duty. After only three questions I was patched over to a guy who didn't sound at all professional. He said: "You've been sent here for a free cruise, right?" Me: "Who are you, what is the name of your organization?" Him: "Uh, Caribbean Cruise Line." Me: "Caribbean Cruise Line?? Where are you located?" Click, he hung up.
This guy hadn't even rehearsed enough to be able to answer simple questions. But I bet in time he will get better at it, so the authorities need to be notified. When you call back you get the automated message from "Anne" that others have described.
