calls everyday 4 rings then hangs up...caller Id says WINNER...I'M SICK OF THIS CRAP!!! CAN'T EVEN GO TO THE BATHROOM WITH THE DAMN PHONE RINGING FROM THIS NUMBER
You need to get a phone that blocks numbers. I bought a Panasonic KX-TGA641 on Ebay for like $20.
It blocks up to 15 numbers. Then you can go in & erase some of the numbers that don't call you anymore & add some new ones.
I'm sure there are other phones that do this. GREAT feature!!!
Yeah, I have a Digitone call blocker and those spammers fill 80 blocks in 1 month. I think the Government sholud pay half the cost since their Do-not -Call list Do-not-work.
Same here. I got around filling up the 80 blocked numbers by blocking all 800, 888, 877, 866 and 202 area codes. Out of area, private and unavailable are already blocked. That saved a lot of space for the local and occasional legitimate area code spam calls. Life has been a lot more pleasant since I installed the Digitone. I can actually go through the day without having to run to the phone every time it rings only to find out it is another #&%$ telemarketer or political ad.
Same here, Tennie. I've reached the end of my rope with this so after Friday the land line will die a well deserved death. I believe the phone companies could indeed do something about these scammers but they're just "too busy" I guess. Well, I'm too busy to put up with it any longer. It's like paying $44/month to be annoyed.
