Download the "Disconnect Ring Tone" and play it whenever you get a call such as this. Note there is a pause between your picking up your phone before someone answers. This is the computer determining whether it has reached a valid number. If you play the disconnect tone, the computer automatically removes you from their calling directory.
Don't be dissing on my home state. I get lots of spam calls from: Florida, Illinois, George, New York, Virginia, North Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee.... these spammers aren't IN any of these states. They spoof the numbers to make them appear like they are. Mostly they are overseas.
Don't answer any suspicious calls. You are only validating they have a valid phone number in which to sell to someone else. Which snowballs. I keep my phone on during the day but I leave the answering machine off in case I'm not around when they call. Can't get through to me.
wow! these a--holes seen to be working over time . do they make anything by scaming ?
i think that these a--holes cost money to do this in the first place. me i think that these scamers
can take the information stored in these phones. me i waste their time by not picking up just let it
ring and ring that seens to stop several a--holes from that place.
I get calls couple of times a day, I understand the number displaying on my phone is not the real number calling me, the number is spoofed to mislead the person they are calling. I know they generally disconnect before their phone company charges them long distance, since the connection was not completed. So I take the calls to force their phone company to register the call was complete and connection is made. Then after few second I disconnect to cause their phone company to charge them for completed long distance call.
We have to cost them money to drain their pocket, that is the only payback we have for these fly by night unethical operators.
