I first received a call from "Kennedy Johnson" at 202-455-5751 stating I am going to receive a US Government Grant in the amount of $8,500. After confirming my name, address and phone number, he gave me a Money Confirmation ID and then I was to call a senior accountant at 206-629-6025 at this point they say I will receive my money via Western Union when I pay $299 first. At this point I told them I was not interested and hung up.
I just got a call from that number with the same story you described in your post..I told them I did not have a bank account but I need it the money to get myself a place to live. I ask them that it will be nice if the send it to me usp . they said they will call me tomorrow lol. I hope so because I have something under my sleeve that will scare the crap out of them.. Lol
Just another junk call, so far in the past week they have called using five different numbers. If you end up actually talking to a person they will not tell you who they are. With the way they handle the calls it sounds more like a phishing expedition than anything else.
Got to the point that every call is just sent to voice mail.
What ever you do DON'T CALL THEM BACK that just makes things worse, and they won't give you any information when you ask who they are.
3/31/09-Received a phone call from "Lisa". Caller ID showed NCO. She asked for my sister and when I told her that no one by that name lived at that number she tried to hang up. I asked her where she was calling from and she said the Carribean. I then called back to the number that showed on the caller ID to speak to the manager and the first individual that I spoke to asked me for my number to have it removed. I then asked to speak to the manager several times and when I insisted, he transferred me to "Nadr". He would not give out any information and when I asked if this business is in the Carribean, he said it's possible. He wanted my sister's phone number which I would not give out-it's her problem if she can't keep her finances straight !! The manager "Nadr" also asked for my phone number so that it could be removed from their list and I informed him that if I ever received another call from them, that I would contact the Attorney's Generals Office on Consumer Fraud and file a complaint against them. He said he was sorry for the inconvenience and the phone call ended.
