Same, reported. Robo-call saying to, "Regard this as a final notice" of my IRS debt and that the IRS would be pursuing a lawsuit against me if I didn't call back right away.
This number called saying they were from IRS and wanted to speak to my son. He was at work I informed
him, but warned him it could be a scam. Apparently it is.
Just got a call from an Indian woman saying she was with the IRS. Said I owed money from back taxes. From 2008 to 2013. I asked her name. Susan and she gave me a ID number. Told her I was hanging up and will call the IRS to confirm this information. She went on to say that a sheriff had already be ask to pick me up since I refused to pay before I hung up. Funny thing my husban is a sheriff and I'm an account. Just because I do my own taxes does not mean I'm stupip. I hope people know that the IRS would never call you. They will alway mail you a letter first. Also if you do have something wrong with your taxes they will never arrest you like that. Please don't fall for this people.
