Same, reported. Robo-call saying to, "Regard this as a final notice" of my IRS debt and that the IRS would be pursuing a lawsuit against me if I didn't call back right away.
I received two phone calls so far, the first one they left me a voicemail and the second one, a woman by the name of mary johnson said that it was urgent for me to get in touch with them -- IRS-- since I told them that the person they were looking for (me) wasn't available...... This is a scam... The IRS will never call anyone, instead they'll send you a certified letter.... Pls be careful
Some lady who neglected to give her name but stated she was with the IRS called, as soon as I cut her off and said this is not the IRS she hung up on me. I guess next time I will have to let her know that I am with the IRS.
Person with a strong foreign accent called to collect an IRS debt. They said there was an error on my tax return and you could hear people in the background talking. I deal with the IRS for my job and know they do not contact people by phone. I told him what he was doing was fraudulent and against the law and eventually he just hung up on me. Total complete scam.
