I receive many phone calls from: +44 2074121069, UNITED KINGDOM, from an "unknown" company asking about lowering my interest rates on credit cards. I have never spoken to them, but get Caller ID on my Callwave service.
I just got the call (automated) about my warranty expiring on my cell phone. I have a 2 month old car. My old car and my husband's current vehicle expired in 2006 -- not sure what they're up to, but it sounds like they want to get as many credit card numbers as they can.
The number they used was +442074121069 -- I tried calling the international number (dialing 011 first) and got the message that my international call could not be completed. Probably someone in the US, scamming cards and using a fake number on the caller ID.
Just got a call from this same number stating that my auto warranty was about to run out, that they had contacted me via mail several times. I pressed 1 to speak to a "live agent" because I am not an idiot, I don't have an auto warranty. I wanted to tell them to remove my number from their list. I was connected to "Frank" who said "year and make of your car". I said "look man I don't have a warranty on my car. Just take my number off of your list" and he hung up on me. How could ANYONE fall for a scam this obvious? I tried calling back just for the hell of it and the number is not in service. sweet.
