Sheesh, could they *possibly* add any more buzz-words to this obvious fraud?
and p.s., all of my accounts are up to date and there is nothing even derogatory in my credit report, so clearly they are throwing out "scary" words to make someone panic and send them money.
Hint: even if you had a bad account, debtor's prisons were abolished a very very long time ago. Don't fall for it, block & ignore.
Ugh. Me too. I've gotten several of these exact same calls recently. They always say they are looking for Grady Green. I never call back, but I'm so tired of them! I'm in CA too.
I just received a phone call around noon (eastern time). The first time the person was extremely rude and said that if I didn't pay that I would be summoned. I told him I was collecting information to relate to my husband who supposedly owed the money. I didn't even have this number back in 2012 so how did they get it? They had his information including the last four digits of his social and threatened us. I asked to speak to a manager and he claimed that he was it and that my husband purposefully took out the loan and that he knew he was never going to pay it and therefore is going to be served. the he spelled W.A.T.C.H and hung up. I called back and spoke to someone much nicer, and received some info on the claim... told them I would wait till my husband was home. I went onlin, looked up bank statements and nothing was what they claimed. After looking online I saw people complaining about scams so I called back and asked for the information of the firm and they say theyre now not a firm but an information center... yea. okay. That I obviously have no intention of rectifying the situation therefore they are going to proceed to serve my husband.
Yes, I get these all the time, and have been getting them for a long time on and off. They are scams pay no mind to them. All the time it is from different numbers. Today I got one from this 208-968-7979 left a message saying there was a complaint filed against me and would be getting papers served at my job or home if I did not resolve it. I have been waiting for them to come arrest me a long time now. These people need to get a life
Yes Got he call this afternoon. Apparently they got my last four of my social and tried to say I owe them money and they had a complaint filed against me. Well I know it's a scam. So I purchased Life Lock to protect my identity so they can't get a loan or credit off my social. These guys need to be jailed wherever they are by the FBI. They are ruining hard working peoples lives.
