and p.s., all of my accounts are up to date and there is nothing even derogatory in my credit report, so clearly they are throwing out "scary" words to make someone panic and send them money.
Hint: even if you had a bad account, debtor's prisons were abolished a very very long time ago. Don't fall for it, block & ignore.
Got a call from 208-968-7979 , I called back the person was very rude and belligerent wouldn't let me speak to her manager. Called back a second time-person was more receptive, I told him that I had been receiving calls from this number on my fax line, and that I was not the person they were looking for therefore per my request they had to stop calling. I referenced The FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICE ACT along with my request. Here, accordingly, under this law it requires that debt collectors STOP ALL COLLECTION ATTEMPTS until they can verify that persons identity.
Once invoked the creditor is to adhere to this request or be subject to claims being filed in turn with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau as well as the Better Buisness Bureau
Here is the transcript from the message left on my answering machine. They clearly have no idea who they are calling and are making random electronic phone calls.
" Well I received a fax order regarding a complaint that was filed against you. I have been retained to serve you with documents to appear at either your residence or your place of employee not. If you have any questions or concerns about the complaint or wish to rectify the matter. You can hit any key on your phone to connect to our office directly or call us at the following number 208-968-7979. When calling please reference file number JSB35"
It sounds legitimate until you really see what is being said. I think this group of "tards" forgot about the intelligence of electronic voice machines and how they dictate the message in writing as well as the use of illegally threatening someone for none payment of an unproven debit, which is a $1,000 fine per instance. I will not include the details of harassment that would be recorded each and every time they try this bull....
Called several times very rude said I owe a debt and said If I dont pay it now I will be summoned to court and all legal fees and the supposide money I owe them will be forced by the court for me to pay it.
