Sheesh, could they *possibly* add any more buzz-words to this obvious fraud?
and p.s., all of my accounts are up to date and there is nothing even derogatory in my credit report, so clearly they are throwing out "scary" words to make someone panic and send them money.
Hint: even if you had a bad account, debtor's prisons were abolished a very very long time ago. Don't fall for it, block & ignore.
This is a collection agency who has been sold alleged bad debt. For the past two years, they have been trying to reach the party who used to have what is now my phone number. I have told them numerous times that the person they are trying to reach no longer has this phone number. I have also told them numerous times to make note of it and to stop calling!
What is most irritating is that when I answer I get a recording and am told to call them with a case number! If they are truly trying to reach the alleged deadbeat, there should be a live person to talk to when the phone is answered! It is harassment for me to keep receiving these automated calls when I'm not the one they're trying to reach!
Additionally, they don't call from the same phone number or even the same area codes. I have blocked their calls numerous times, I have even blocked entire area codes to try and stop them. All of this, AFTER I told them to stop calling!
I just contacted this company to inform them (AGAIN) that the person they were trying to reach was not at this phone number. When I called, a man answered and looked up the account. Once he got the account up, he asked about the phone number (as I had called from another number). I started to tell him which number to reference (the one they call) and he exploded and told me that they "make no outgoing call from that number" that their numbers are inbound only and he hung up on me! When I spoke to him, I was not rude or angry. I said nothing nor did anything to provoke him!
So, I called back and got another man who was just as rude!
I called a third time and got a nice young woman who did take my information.
If I need to call again, I will record the conversations.
****SCAM****they keep calling and leaving there dumb message..... so i just keep calling them back and calling and calling and mess with them on my lunch hour two can play at this game lol.
