GE Security Systems at 210-401-5446 called with a taped message to my DO NOT CALL number. Will be reporting them to the Federal Government. Enough of this and this blatant disregard for people who do not wish to be bothered. I BUY NOTHING from calls to my home. They are wasting my time and theirs. I keep a list of numbers and offenders. They are desperate and disgusting.
Got a call from these bozos. Got customer service who hung up on me when I said do not call me, and take my number off the list. They hung up on me. When I called back .. I got this poor woman who said she's been getting phones all weekend from people saying .. "did you call me about a security system?" So these bozos are somehow using her phone number as a call back number which has to be against the law somehow. When I called the number again .. I got a Magic Jack recording. I made a complaint w/do not call registry. Hopefully this woman will stop getting these phone calls from people. So sick of these scams.
There are scammers who spoof phone numbers; they are unable to be traced because they go around the world through different servers. Anyone for a fee can "steal" someone's phone number and caller ID sometimes will appear as though, you for example, are calling someone even though you aren't. According to FCC there is not much a consumer can do. That I think is one reason people are unable to return the call and get a strange type busy signal, or the call won't go through. It is a spoofed number. Sometimes with companies like Magic Jack one must dial the entire area code and number, even if living in the local area. However, don't be surprised if one day you will see in caller ID a call from your own phone; it has happened to a few people I know, including myself.
This company continues to call and then hangs up. They do not leave a message. I am tired of hearing them call and then hang up. They keep doing this to any number I have and apparently to other people. What a pain! It just shows San Antonio, TX in my ID.
I received a call by this same number, w/o caller ID. I donot pick up the phone if I do not k now who is calling. I did call back, and amazingly the call does not go through. I am on the do not call list. I have a security system, and I've never done business with this company. Intersect though that you cannot reach them when you call back.
