My wife Received this called from Interstae locating service. Said they had a complaint and i had to call back in a certain amount of time or it would be served as a warrant. Wife asked what the complaint was,her name was Bree something...Said she had it in front of her but she couldnt open it....sound like a big bunch of [***] to me.. Everyone I know can get intouch with me...My wife was at a upstairs phone and couldnt see the id...We never answer phone if we dont know the number except this one time..Smells fishy and [***] to me
They have called twice now, always around 11am. They never leave a voice mail. I called the number back and there was no answer or any answering machine.
I called the number back and they answered on the first ring "IRS how can I help you"? Has to be a lie... who gets through to the IRS on the first ring???
Received a call from this number asking for a family member by name. Told the caller that no one by that name lived here. When I asked why they called me, was told that the family member had given my number as an emergency contact. Suggested that this family member was in legal trouble and they needed to contact him asap. I told caller that they had the wrong number. Caller then stated that the family member would be charged with fraud for providing my number.
