Valid call from USAA, was a message from my home equity adviser who is working on the closing documentation for my new house. The person who called is specifically who i have been working with (for about a month) regarding my closing. She requested no call back.
I received 2 calls from this number on my cell phone. I do not have any accounts with USAA so did not call back. I did google the number I didn't recognize (210) 456-1814 and found this website.
I got a call from this number today. They claimed to be from USAA and immediately asked me for my phone password, which I did not provide. I then called the real USAA and they checked each of my accounts and there were no attempts to call me today. I also gave them the caller ID # and they said their numbers will ALWAYS be an 800 # and concluded that this was a fraudulent call.
I got a call from this number last night at 7:28pm. I was nowhere near my cell phone at the time, so it went to voicemail & there was no message left. I didnt call the number back, because I didnt know who it was.
They called and left message saying there were fraudulent charges on my USAA account. Sure enough there were when I checked online, so I called back via instructions and they quickly took care of it. You rock USAA! I would not have found this out until after Thanksgiving by myself.
