I just recieved the exact same message as D. They are calling from Texas.. I called back and they told me the company was Advance America. I told them I'd call the company direct. They told me the company will not talk to me. Found the company's website and the first thing I saw was SCAM ALERT!
I recieved The Same Call Just As Everyone Else Has, Does Not Say Who Is Calling For Or What It Is In Reference To. They All Want To Sound As Stupid As They R. If It Was Legal They Would Send You A Letter On Official Letterhead From Their Office, When I Talked To My Local Sheriff's Dept They Said It Is Likely A Scam. I Will Let My Local Office Know What Is Going On. These People Need To Be Stopped..
My husband just got a call saying that he has a warrent for his aresst to turn his self in. that he owes a pay loan and we just got the bank statment and there is nothing there. Ppl be on the look out
I just got the call at 10:46am EST. Spoke to a woman named Kerry who stated that if I didn't want to repay a payday loan from OnlineAdvance.net that a warrant would be issued for my arrest and I would be taken the county jail!! I told her that I did not take a payday loan from this place and that I would contact them directly as well as my attorney. She was very rude and told me that I should just listen to her before speaking every two words. Doesn't have a phone number for this place and stated they only conduct business with them via email and that this was an advance issued to me j11/5/2012, so when I pulled up my bank statements and told her no such advance was made and what my balance at the time was, she said she would put in a "dispute" and when I asked if I would be notified what the resolution was she told me that "usually" they just write it off. Told her sounded like a scam to me, Funny thing is she had an old bank account number, the last four of my SSN, my dob and home address. I told her that I would be contacting this business directly and she only replied "okay".
