Hi there,
I got a call from an indian guy on May 3rd. He said he is calling on behalf of Microsoft and they have detected some viruses and trojans in my comp[uter, after chatting for an hour or so he convinced me and I unfortunately let him to install bunch of crappy useless softwares in my laptop, they were computer cleaner, optimizer and remote desktop. He eventually charged me 93.87$ for his service. After reviewing the comments put down in this website I scared too much. I got the same phone call. coming up unknown name and unknown number with the same call back number (210-888-0671) i figured out it was a scam right away and did not admit to having my computer for a few days and he is insistant on calling back in two or three days to get the problem fixed....NOT GOING TO HAPPEN BUDDY! would not let them into my computer if my life depended on it, they do not need to access my info or open up my computer to a virus. i contacted telus and was told with the 0 infront of the area code states that you agree to pay the long distant charges so beware if returning this call!
