Come on, people, use your head. It doesn't do any good to report this to the government, possibly because the government is already in bed with the credit card companies and since you don't have as much money to bribe Congress as the banks do, you lose. With a prefix of 000, you have to know it's a scam/ spoofed number and the government can't trace a fake number. Of course, they can't do much right, anyway, but this number is not real. The DNC does not protect you from anything and so many gullible people seem to have touching faith that the government is watching over them, keeping them safe. Grow up for goodness sake!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Scammer phishing for credit card info. Call started as recording stating it was card services calling and you qualify for a rate reduction to 6.9% on your card & to press 9 to speak to the next available agent. I've also read where an agent picks up immediately then tries to get you to reveal credit card & personal info. Definite scammer using this # at this time, then will move on to another # when the law starts getting close.
Called me today I do have call screening however the number can't be screened because that "000" exchange is not a valid exchange I wonder how they get that number to call from or to show up like that.
I did report the the number to Don not Call Registry.
I did press nine and told the operator to take my number off thier list..of course I was cut off...
I used get calls like that about my auto-insurance was about to be cancelled
I don't even have a car!!!
The last time they called..I stayed on the line and was quite vulgar with them and they haven't called back for about three months....
Have also recieved calls from them. The only way to really stop this is to make it unprofitable for them to do this. That means no one should ever buy or sign up for anything from them, no one should ever give them a valid credit card number, everyone should try and waste as much of their time as possible.
