NUMBER called this morning I answered it said goodbye I tried to phone back it said not in service a half an hour later phone rang again same number I answered Indian woman said computer issues need to go in your computer I went along HOWEVER THE SENIOR WHO LIVES HERE DOES NOT HAVE A COMPUTER I STILL WENT ALONG WITH IT I THEN SAID I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT THE WOMAN BECAME FURIOUS AND SAID YOU WASTED MY TIME SO I SCREAMED REAL LONG THEN SHE HUNG UP
I received a phone call from 2124254079 this morning claiming that my computer had problems and had been notifying them...I told him that I new it was a scam & they were not who they claimed to be. he continued to talk over me so I told him to f*** off & put the phone down...my phone rang again straight away (same number on caller id). when I answered the same Indian sounding guy told me to f*** off and said that when he finds me he will "slit my throat".
obviously needs a lesson in customer relations!!!
The solution is to block that number. However since you have spoken to them, you have validated it as a working number, and they will call from different numbers.
Indian got on the phone claiming my computer had viruses and they were getting error reports. I hung up and he called back and I cursed him out. Told him to [***] off because I worked night shift and he hung up. Don't answer any questions because it is a scam!
These are either Indians or Pakistanis that are attempting to gain access to your computer(s). Do not waste your time with them: ask them who they are trying to get in touch with before identifying yourself. If they do not know your name and your ISP account number then they have no business call you: simply hanging up and ignoring their calls is the most effective method to counter this problem.
