I just turned off the ringers on all my phones a few years ago. Almost of these scammers don’t leave a message and when I hear someone leaving a message is the only time I know there’s an incoming call.
Been keeping a list of “Missed calls” from my caller ID for a while now. I’m up to 405 crap calls so for this year with a month and a half to go. It just thrills me to know that the FTC is doing such a good job in eradicating these scumbags.
AARP does not sell your info. Today there is just no profit in that. These illegal telemarketers (a.k.a. scams) use computers to call number after number until they get someone to pickup, then they hope it is someone dumb enough to buy into their scam.
Anyone with 1 or more phone lines, making these amounts of calls should standout on a phone carriers' records like a blinding red light. Too bad the carriers make such a profit off these scumbags and the majority party in Congress is so "business friendly". The carriers' do not own the numbers they have. Not policing themselves should result in the loss of those phone numbers.
