I have received 2 calls after business hours asking for my dad's date of birth. When I asked for there number so I could call Apria during business hours they said they did not have that number right now. This is a scam. My dad does use Apria/Coram, so I wonder where they are getting all this info from. Is Apria not guarding our info closely enough?
Just got a call or missed call from UPSTREAM 213-438-6022 on 4/27/2012 which is a bad number and can't call back. They answer possibly answer as Apria? I would not trust them. Talk with the vendor directly always and don't share your information. I have recieved calls directly from Apria who say its from apria listing their there number through call screening too and the two company are different. By the way If this is their 3rd party billing serice or a outside collection agency for them, Apria could be liable for fraud under the fair debt credit law as no to angencies can colllect on the same account balance/acct. And you should always beable to call a agency back.
Get this, guy can't speak english, more to the point like had mush in mouth. Wanted my Social because of improper billing, but he was recording it. I hope he was over 18 cause I gave him something to put on youtube to hear. They couldn't even make it sound real but I guess that is why they are in business to steal ID's.
Received similar call. They haven't learned their lesson. A woman with a pronounced Latino accent made the call seeking information regarding identity. I suspect ID scam. Please do not disclose your personal data. They new my name and telephone number but apparently that is all.
