i got a call from a wmn claims they had a case i had my atty to look in to this .... need less to say they are in fact a law office they actually sue ..
Okay, so how do we find out if this place is for real? I already gave them my bank info & need to get this stopped ASAP if it's bogus. Would somebody please respond & help me out here. I'm on disability & can't afford any additional expenses.
Thanks
It's not for real lawyers notify you by certified mail! They and the IRS never call or email. Please don't waste your money and NEVER give out any personal information. Block their numer and ignore them.
Diane, if you have not done so already get in contact with your bank and close your account out ASAP. If you don't you risk the chance of these scammers cleaning out your accounting, you can always open a new one the same day you close out the old one. let your bank know your mistake and they will take additional action to make sure this won't happen to you again. CLOSE ACCOUNT NOW
Do not worry about the call. If they are real (and they aren't) they have no qualms violating the Fair Debt Collection Act. Most of their calls are robo calls. Don't fret over them.
A relative called me today 05/07/2015 stating a Mr. Smith called her cell phone. He spoke with her stating I'm to appear in court, etc., This guy calls my house and leave messages as well.
