Ughhhhhhhhhh....I am SICK AND TIRED of calls like this coming to my cellphone that is on the DO NOT CALL Registry! I don't answer calls if I don't recognize the number.
Just got a call from this number. It rang only four times before I picked it up but there was no one on the line. I called back immediately and got a recording saying, "You were called to participate in a survey. Now the survey time has expired."
Yes, I'm on the Do-Not-Call Registry and have been since 2007. It does no good whatsoever. Yes, I have filed several complaints with them over the past couple of months. That does no good. Yes, this is an unlisted cell-phone number. Makes no difference.
I was getting so much text-message spam that I finally gave up and had all texting blocked. The phone spam just started a few months ago on this number that I have had for several years now but the text spam started years ago before I blocked it. I am now receiving 8-10 phone spam calls a week and have been for the past two or three months. It started all at once and hasn't let up. If you start insulting the caller, they will simply hang up. If you re-dial that number, you will get a recorded message telling you, in effect, get lost.
Called today @ 6:30. I answered the 3 question survey, and was transferred to a telemarketer. I said I was heading out and I wanted her home phone number so I could call her later. She said she couldn't do that, and I replied "Oh you probably don't want people bugging you when you're at home, how do you think I feel?" Best way to annoy them.
