It seems lots of folks dont really understand the do not call registry. Not every telemarketer uses these big universal call lists. If a small company is opening up the phone book and picking out your number to call you, they arent tied to the call registry. That only prevents calls from major organizations.
the do not call registry doesnt protect you from small companies doing their telemarketing from telephone books or random dialing. it only protects you from large organizations that use universal call lists (that they pay for access to).
I got the call too. I am also on the do not call registry. Political messages are exempt from the call list. It looks like they are hiding under political by calling themselves a political poll and then trying to scam.
