Been calling me all morning. No messages left, but I always look up unrecognized phone numbers and after reading these comments I will not give these creeps the time of day. Within an hours time I have received 8 different calls, most of them came in as unknown, one showed up as 00000000, one was the number listed in this thread, another number showed up from Los Angeles as well, and the last one 5 minutes ago came in from Seattle Washington. When you call the numbers back it says they are disconnected, and a few times a Verizon message comes on saying the customer is no longer in service. I am on the Do Not Call Registry, but it doesn't seem to help. I began receiving an overwhelming amount of emails and phone calls at the beginning of December 2015 all regarding payday or short term loans. I opted out and unsubscribed or sent emails to each email I received which was at least 100 of them. The emails have slowed way down, and most of the calls have too. However, the calls that come in are always a man with an Indian accent and I tell him each time that I am not interested, take me off of your call list and not to ever call me again. I block the numbers after each call, but he had the audacity to text me one day after blocking be if the numbers he called me from earlier. He calls me by my name occasionally, but usually honey, dear or baby...but is dealing with loans...uh huh, sure! I am totally annoyed and do not know what to do at this point other than to block the numbers, harass them back if they actually speak to me, or just ignore the calls. It's just a ridiculous amount of calls and it's harassment at this point. I've had the same cell phone number for almost 15 years and I don't want to change it. This isn't okay at all!
A call from this number left voicemail claiming to be regarding the legal status of an account on behalf of the Attorney General. Told me to call 347-905-5312. When I called, a man with an Indian sounding accent, claimed to be "Nathan Connor" and that he as with the Legal Affairs Department of the Treasury Department. When I asked if it was the US Treasury Dept and was he sure, he hung up. I called back, and was told they were calling for my daughter, by name. He claimed she'd be arrested in 24 hours. I told him he was a scam artist and he started swearing at me.
Scammers for sure. Don't give them any info. Don't even call them back.
Caller (pre recorded message or Robocall) had a taped message from a Police Department very unprofessionally recorded, like they called a police dept and recorded it through the phone. Told me (not by name) that I was in a lot of trouble and needed to call a phone number that was also pre recorded. I didn't return the call. I expect a bunch of calls today after really blasting a person from Wenner Media 201-215-1705 yesterday. The person with an Indian Accent wanted to fix my computer remotely. He hung in there until I asked for a call back # so I could have the police contact him. A bunch of back and forth swearing and I hung up!
