When I moved in to my current resident some 10 years ago the cable company misspelled my name. How they managed to turn a 4 letter name into a 7 letter monstrosity with only an initial “R” and no vowels in common has always been a mystery.
But it always alerts me when an entity; spammer, scammer, mass marketer contacts me using that misspelling, that they bought my name from the cable company lists.
Today Lockhart Morris contacted me using this name saying I owed money. These people used the non-existent person’s name. I asked who I owed it to. They could not tell me, only that it was a “finance company.” The only thing I have ever financed is my car and that is long paid for and I hold the title. I traded in my old car, which was also paid for, as the down payment 16 years ago.
And my cable bill is automatically deducted and paid up.
They did not have my real name so I asked them what address they had. They didn’t have one. They could not tell me, only that it was from a finance company. I asked when the debt was incurred; they could not tell me, only that it was from a finance company.
Did some checking and this company is in Texas. Did some more checking and it turns out Texas is a haven for illegitimate and semi-legitimate debt collectors. Scam artists. Despite what the Lockhart Morris employee has been paid to post in this site, a legitimate company would have my correct name, my correct address, the name, and date of any legal debt; and this boiler-room phone bank lacks all of those.
I have tried to set up a payment arrangement with them thank you they dont want you do set up what you can afford. Some people are out of work due to medical reasons,but you wouldn't know that. I am a truck driver that has tried to pay them and they won't except 25 a week, which if you must know is 100 a month. I am supporting two disabled people which is hard work in its self, again you wouldn't know that. I am trying to get back on my feet and no I am not the best speller because I had my first child at 18 and had to drop out of school to take care of him because his mother wouldnt again you would have no clue. Until you have walked in my shoes or anyone's dont jump to wrongfully accusing them. Y are you on this page anyway if you dont have problems with this number calling you??????

It's really simple people. If you pay your bills , then you will not get collection calls. What are you people hiding from? You two may be the very reason this country is in financial trouble.....
Its not that easy as pay your bills when you have been layed off and depending on where you live there is no jobs I mean no jobs at all. I have 2 degrees and still no job. I have contacted the people that I owe and told them the situation but that still dont pay the bills. Its called pay what you can as in do I need lights heat food or do I pay the credit card for that month. People are going to pay the light bill and put food on thne table for the kids. I don't have any family due to being adopted at age 1 so the only kin I have is my daughter and her 2 small kids. We as parents help our kids as much as we can I'm going to do without myself to make sure they have what they need as in food light heat I can asure you I am not waistfull at all I will stretch a dollar for a mile. But things happen that we have no control over I didnt plan to loose my job I planed to retire from my company. So its not easy as saying pay your bills when you dont have the means to pay your bills. Also I was not raised on food stamps or any welfare and as of today I still am not have not will not ask for any I know thats tax payers dollars to support me and that what I do.
