I keep getting this call and they asked us where we lived my sister had answered it, she then got 3 questions 1. What's your name, she replied 2. How old are you? She replied again. Then question three 3. Where do you live? She didn't reply I hung up the phone and my family is now scared.
Just got this call. Caller ID indicated "School District". I didn't answer it because the area code is not in my state so I knew it was a scam. Stateside Microsoft needs to be bombarded with complaints and maybe your local cable company. They need to bring these jobs back to AMERICA! Years back I know someone that had to work with the across the pond outsourced work and ended having stuff charged to their credit card that was not authorized. CALL MICROSOFT! They need to fix this scam.
I input a complaint to both my state DNCR and National DCNR. I also contacted the regional district Microsoft Office. They had a recording indicating they are aware of the "Spoofing" calls going around. It sounds as though they are working with the FCC on this issue. I would still submit complaints and if possible breathe down Microsoft's backs to get our jobs back to the USA. Computer security is next to nil if we can't locate these hackers, spoofers, etc... especially if they are across the pond with our personal info.
Like above foreign person speaking (hard to understand but probably from India) said associated with Microsoft and my computer needed repair due to updates from Microsoft not working properly. After I played along with him for a few minutes I told him I was recording this conversation and the person hungup.
Same as all the others. Garden variety crook. I blocked the number, reported the violation, contacted the Attorney General and the FCC. All this just wastes my time. Nobody gives a damn. I think I'll have my land line removed.
