I keep getting this call and they asked us where we lived my sister had answered it, she then got 3 questions 1. What's your name, she replied 2. How old are you? She replied again. Then question three 3. Where do you live? She didn't reply I hung up the phone and my family is now scared.
Got another call from this number and it read PA, USA. It's definitely a scam. I tried to call my regional Microsoft Office and the recording said it is aware of the "Spooshing" scam and is working to resolve the issue. Would like to speak with a state side tech as one of my updates won't process. Anyway, If anyone has a # for Microsoft that a live English speaking person answers, post it for everyone to call. The need to get our over the pond jobs back is critical. Please submit complaints to the DNCR and state DNCRs, as well as your State Attorney General's Office. When the fatcats sent our jobs overseas to save money, that's when the Spooshing scams and robo calls got worst. Putting the consumer at risk.
was call saying from a school district they are giving away suposedly 100 dollar walmart cards they say they are representing sidekick tv when pressed to speak to manager they sd no one to talk to i ad them will report to ftc they hu on me i cld back they sd number would be removed she kept interupting me she gve a bogus number to some residence no num for sidekick tv beware poss scammers tyrring to do another security breach report them
Just got the same phone call from according to called ID was School District. I could barely make out .....blah blah blah......Microsoft technician.....failed virus scan alerts......spyware malware.....blah blah blah, because of the heavy Indian accent. I wanted a laugh out of this call. Once she was done with her obvious pre canned speech I said "First off this is very offensive and irritating to me. I am a Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional. MCITP for short. I find this offensive because I have been in the IT industry since 1995. If you are insisting I don't know how to protect my computer from these malwares/Trojans/viruses your insulting me directly. Now with this said lets cut to the chase and tell me how much does this service you are offering going to cost me?" At this point she apologized and said I would never be contacted again then hung up. Everything I said to them is true. Lets hope they do call me back.
Again same caller ID. same phone number. This time the lady said she was from the computer help department. I followed her direct instructions about opening the event viewer. Then opening the Custom Events section and looking at all those failures. OMG there is a lot. What ever am I to do? BTW what was you name again, Nancy, Your last name Nancy? Derring, Oh I want to know this information so I can personally thank them. Nancy where are you located out of, Her response "We are headquartered in the US, but I'm personally located in South Asia. When I asked specifically where is South Asia she hung up on me.
So WTH I decided I wanted to call her back to finish our conversation. When I called back it went to a walmart gift card reward system.
