I keep getting harrasing phone calls from this number a strange man keeps saying hello than hangs up. Please if u see this number dont answer it . It seems like a scam
Got a call today on a debt that I do owe but have no job so can't pay. he was trying to make me pay it all today. Guy got pissed and hung up. Another lady calls me back and asked what happened? I said your agent hung up on me. She said, she'd transfer me to his boss but it didn't go anywhere. Glad I read this on various places on the internet. Unfortunately, I did agree it was my debt but if the bank sold it, then it should already be charged off right?
They keep calling my house. The guy I talked to today was a complete jerk and very rude. He got a good ol' southern cussing. I hope he calls back tomorrow.
After reading these posts (and NOT having any debt issues) we will not be returning this call. Thank god for the internet & folks sharing their experiences!
This group, at least, right now is in/or was in Philadelphia. Google them! (Thomas Landis) One of the attorneys names is Donald Burak who was arrested for and served 80 months for possession of kiddy porn; another one of the attorneys is Thomas Landis. I believe he lost his license but may have gotten it back...I'm still looking into that part...and that is probably how they get away with calling themselves a law office, they are sleezy scum buckets who are debt collectors. Not only that, these guys use lists they get from all kinds of organizations. I'm looking into them getting a list from Carnival Cruise Line right now. I got approximately 20 calls from these scum buckets in 8 days. The first call was recorded and said it was not a collection call (which is true if they make the call to someone who knows the person) but just barely true...the recording asked are you so and so push 1 and I did not push anything and then it asked if I knew so and so...please press 2..I should have just hung up, but they make it sound like it could be really important and for me to let the person know they need to call that number immediately. The 1 and 2 is just bogus bs. Then they sent another recording saying that if I was not so and so my name would be off their list in 2 days....they had been calling every day then they just upped it to 2 times a day. This is a friend of mine and his bills are none of my business but they never admit to being collectors..they just want you to give them information. When donkeys fly is kind of what I told them. Some more of their numbers include: 215-526-6200 and 215-526-2600, this number called me out of MN 218-742-1655, but I believe it is connected to the same group. BTW they will block your number when you call them back or argue with them. This guy has a deep voice and thinks he is scary and he began to argue with me and I said look I am on a no call list, you are calling someone who may know him, but that is none of your business and he interrupted me around who may know him and basically said look this is a law firm and ....so I cut him off and said well isn't it my lucky day and yours..I happen to work at a law firm too....and he goes, You need to shut up and let me finish my sentence and stop talking over me and I was talking over him and I did not stop and I cut him off again and said You interrupted me and I will NOT stop talking until You shut up and let me finish my sentence...HE HUNG UP ON ME! I called them back on my phone in the office and no one answered so they must have some form of a switch, then the next time they picked up the phone and hung it up again...I called on the office phone which would show the call was from an attorneys office and they hung up on me 2 more times...so then I picked up my personal phone and called again....and when the jerk answered he put me on hold immediately and then a NICE GUY came on the phone...I asked him if he knew or was Thomas Landis and he said that he was a legal assitant for him and asked what was my problem...and in my sweetest voice I said YOU are harassing me and calling me about something I have nothing to do with, and he said well you do know so and so and I said and who told you that? He declined to offer that information and instead said well you know so and so and I asked him, Who Told You That? He changed the subject and said well we know you know so and so, and all we need is his number...in other words give us the info and we will stop harassing you. I declined..and told him to listen to me, I am on the No Call List, my number is Unlisted and you are harassing me for? He declined to respond...I told him Yes, I do know my friends number and it is on the No Call List too and it is Unlisted too....so HOW DID YOU GET MY NUMBER? I believe they have his number, but have no way to use it because it is unlisted and that is why they called me. At that time he said well now that we know your number is on a no call list we will not call you again....they called me this morning. In Texas we can file complaints online with the Attorney General and you can also file harassment charges and you can sue. Don't take it anymore...just speak your mind..I figured since I got the one guy to hang up on me and they did not get my friend's number ...I had a good day.
