Received call from man with heavy accent. Conversation much the same as all of the above. We have a booth in a consignment shop and caller indicated that he wanted to put the store address in his GPS. I gave him the info thinking he was a customer wanting to see merchandise we had for sale. He then asked if my home address was correct and when he read it off to me I hung up. We are concerned and would appreciate any ideas on how and/or who to report this to. Grateful for the other people here who have taken the time to help others be aware of these preditors.
PS: Sorry--I did not include the phone number for the above info--call was from 216-912-2002. This is in Cleveland, OH area according to online search--we are in GA.
Where is the enforcement of the Federal and State no call people. Oh, thats right, they're watching the clock and waiting on their paychecks so they can go home. Worthless bunch. I would sure like a electronic devise put on my phone that all I had to do is push a button and the phone data base at the other end would desolve. Someone should develope it.
Called by a guy in heavy Indian accent at this number, asking if I was looking for a job. He then gave a name of some company (Maheendra Fatima?) never heard of. Said he would call back 30 minutes later for a phone interview (but he never did). I suspect he got my number through a job-hunting website. I've just removed my personal particulars from the website but I'm concerned because my home address was disclosed there.
