I got the same thing just now. It seems to me that they only call people who have a business. I got the call twice and it was a heavy arabic accent male. After he asked for the zip code, then i got really suspicious. I got disturbed and asked him if he's one of those telemarketers or regular customer. He never answered. [***]!!!
just recieved call from indian accent wanting to confirm address i hung up. maybe they track phone to see when yur out of town to break in. just a thought
Got several calls today, but answered none. Found an Indian site in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India hit my web site just before the phone calls. IP address is 117.104.239.89, assigned to Nipuna Services. Suggest you look at you web site to see if you have the same information. It takes a police order to track the IP address down to a specifc home address and person(s) that is looking for this information.
Same as everyone above....A heavy accented woman asked something I couldn't understand. I said "We are a trucking company" and she read me our address and asked if it was correct. (IT WAS!) but I said no that is an old address and they hung up. I NEVER recite my own address over a phone line, nor do I say the words "yes" or "no". I always use vague terms like "you are correct" or "uhmm" or something like that. Years ago I once recieved a $400 bill for something I didn't recognize. When I called to dispute it, the company played me a message of myself agreeing to everything (which I NEVER did). It was definetly ME in the recording, after thinking about it, the only unusual call I had gotten was a couple weeks before to verify my address. I assume they edited the script to make it sound like I bought something and billed me. I no longer verify ANYTHING over the phone. By email or mail ONLY! This sounds like they are trying to get everyone to recite their address and say the word "yes" over the phone!! Super suspicious!!!
I am curious how many people on the above messages have Verizon for their internet carrier!? I have problems constantly with my internet and have to call text support who big surprise is in india! Now I get a call from these non English speaking crack heads. Now the only people who have this number, which is a private and unlisted number is verizon. I have never given it to anyone else.
