The House features 12 private guest rooms with private baths, and designed to create a nurturing and supportive ‘home away from home’, with comfortable living and play spaces, a spacious dining and kitchen area where volunteers prepare meals, a library, and laundry facilities.
The House is located near the Central DuPage Hospital (CDH) Campus in Winfield, Illinois and serves families with pediatric patients being treated at CDH, Delnor Hospital or the CDH Cancer Center and Northwestern Medicine Chicago Proton Center.
I work for FedEx and during the month of October, we did a "FedEx Cares" and collected bags of different items for the RMH kitchen. We went and dropped the bags off at RMH and they were so thankful for the donation. We also were given a tour of the house and it's beautiful.
I got a call from this number, did not answer, and they did not leave a message (of course). I looked up the number and found this site.
***I don't answer the phone if a number is displaying that I don't recognize...if it's that important, they will leave a message. I also get scam calls on my cell phone (which is registered on the DO NOT CALL list...that's working out real well now isn't it...)
Listed as one of the worst charities in America. Children's cancer recovery Foundation gives less than ½ of 1% in direct aid to kids. 80% goes to the fundraising firm right off the top.
