I live in a Chicago suburb. This is the second call I have received in the past 6 months from this number. A couple rings, nobody there when I answer. Very annoying.
Call came in at 8:16 p.m. on 3/28. The man said he was from the IL Patrolman's Assoc. (See: http://www.lincolnpolice.us ) As he hurried through his script, trying to tug at my heart strings, telling me how I can contribute to help with medical costs, etc., I interrupted his script to ask "What organization are you calling from again?" He said IL Patrolman's Association. I told him I was not interested and to stop calling me. I had two calls from this number in Dec. 2007, where they hung up when I answered. I made a complaint on donotcall.gov yet again.
Have gotten this on my caller id on several occasions. I spoke to the man on one occasion only who claimed that he was from the Fraternal Order of Police & was asking for a donation. I explained that my husband is already a member of the FOP and makes monthly donations directly from his paycheck. He apologized & hung up. But he keeps calling...
