I too have received call from the following numbers.....231-732-2643, 231-224-2074, 231-732-2641, 206-315-3010, 949-286-3311.
I had ordered some stretch mark lotion, months ago, and what the company does is sells all of our information...Name, Phone Number, and type of card used for the transaction. The company you bought your items from, sells this information to the dirt bag companies that "offer" promotional items for free, and will then ask for your complete billing & credit card information, and if you forget to cancel, they start charging your card.
It is a super basic scam, however it is totally legal....moral, no...but totally legal.
The calls are super annoying, and I have reported all of the numbers I have to the National Do Not Call Registry. Hope it works!
I have received several calls from this number and I finally answered as I was getting sick and tired of the phone ringing all the time. They knew my name and said that they were calling about my Mastercard. They said they were calling from Avalon and had a package deal for me, but as I kept asking further information about their identity they hang up.
I received 6 calls today from these people and today is Sunday! Normally I will get about 4 calls a day for a few days and then nothing for a day or two and then it starts again. They never leave a message.
