My mother took a call from them the other day. They suggested a donation of $15, but my mother told them she couldn't do that and offered $10. I had to school her on the fact that some of these places are not legitimate; that a lot of times they use names that sound legitimate but are not really with the real organizations they're trying to rip off like The American Cancer Society. I also lectured her not to give out any personal financial information to callers like this or her social security number. She said they're supposed to be sending something in the mail for her to mail in a donation. We'll see... In any event, I think I successfully planted the seed of doubt in her mind to be careful about these types of calls.
Outreach Foundation with corporations for character, and I'll be quick the reason for my call is that we're in the middle of helping support development of a vaccine for breast cancer so sorry from fundraising cost the mission is to continue to fund research diagnosis and treatment that will eliminate breast cancer in our life time in fact. It's important to know that one of the two extremely important vaccine trials we support should be completed by 2018 so obviously it's a critical time to help them and others with his hopeful momentum donations are tax deductible so wanted to make sure that when you receive your pledge card could we please count on your help with a little something is that okay?
