BTW, you can block calls with some Panasonic cordless telephones. I have a model KX-TG6511B base station with a model KX-TGA652 handset. It will block up to 30 numbers plus any call without a number. Lamebrain with an Eastern accent trying to speak English, selling "protection" software for $299.99. Claimed to be the CEO of Windows (it took me a while to catch on, I thought he was saying "Vendoz") technical service and they were receiving an error message from my computer and would I please turn it on and let him look at it. Yeah, right. I was born; just not this week. I jerked him around for a solid 21 minutes and he still wouldn't give in and hang up. He said "I think you are some kind of scammer, and I don't like you making fun of me!". He finally put on the "Senior Technician of Microsoft" He wasn't nearly as much fun as the first guy. He degenerated into Pashtun curses and all the English swearwords and threats he could think up. Not very good entertainment. They disconnected after 24 minutes.
I have received both, no one there and a heavily accented gentleman. Said turn computer on, etc. I just said no thank you, not interested and hung up. Got 2 more like that -one was female. Now just getting silence on other end. Is definitely annoying.
