They also have called me. So I googled the address that he provided and it pulled up the US Dept of Human/Health Services. There was a # on there so I called (not expecting anyone to answer) and a lovely American answered the phone and told me that it was a scam and gave me a number to alert the General so heres the number and maybe if we all flood their phones they will figure out who it is 1-800-HHS-TIPS the sad thing about this is that I have been trying to find grants to help pay for school and it really makes me mad for someone to be as stupid as they are. They told all of us the same story and the same amount makes a whole lot of sense
so i got a call from this number and it was an indian sounding guy saying pretty much what a few of you have said that i qualify for a 7000 dollar grant from the gvt for paying my taxes on time and someother thing. i said cool they gave me this number 202 905 0424 and said to ask for michelle. they also gave me a confirmation number. so i called michelle a fair thick indian accented woman talks to me for a while and saying how i get a tax free 7000 dollar govt grant blah blah. but then at the end comes the catch... oh before they can give me my grant i have to go to or use a western union and make a 100 dollar donation to whoever.. and i kept saying i dont have a100 so can you take it out of my 7000 or maybe give me my 7000 and ill send the 100 from there, hell if i got sent 7000, i would donate 1000 of it i dont care its already free, right? so 6000 is better than none. low and behold she didnt go for it i still ad to donate a 100 dollars and giver her the western union confirmation number before i get to wait 30-45 minutes to get my grant... i got curious, so i said who is the donation for whats the info and "michelle" was very reluctant to give me the info unless i was right there at the western union so i said "ill just use western union online i do it all the time no big deal im on the web page now, so who am i send the donation to?" and she kept wanting to make sure i was there and was gonna make the donation right then. anyways she gave me the name "gopal bansal" from delhi india india. so i dunno if anyone can use any of this info to stop these scammers or maybe set up a scam to catch them i dunno i just hope this is useful and i hope no one fall for it. but always feel free to mess with these scammers a bit tooo, like give them a little bit of a hard time back...k xoxo
so i got that same exact phone call i though it was freaky at first but i got the same +000000000 number calling me but i never answered. they left a voice mail and it sounded like people from another country. they had strange accents, and they said something about "i'm on my way i'm on my way" couldnt make out the rest of the voicemail. but i got that same exact phone call... and a month or two ago they asked for my bank account rounting number and etc. saying i won 10,000 dollars but i needed to give "all needed information" in order to claim this "reward". its a hoax, a scam, and it needs to come to a stop....
