Received this call 3x in one day! Then added it to the parental control list on my phone to keep it from calling back! Man stated he was from the US Govt yet he barely spoke English... Hung up when I laughed and said that the govt numbers have 10 digits NOT 9!!
I received the call too and although I normally don't answer the phone when the number or name is crazy looking, I did answer it and no one was on the line. I tried calling it back, maybe I shouldn't have, but the operator said the number wasn't in service. This scam stuff wouldn't be a problem if people didn't believe in lottery's and bingo and getting something for little or nothing. Gullibility is something that should be taught in school along with personal finance. Come on people! This wouldn't happen if people weren't greedy on both ends. If it sounds too good to be true, then it is! What is sad is that the government outlaws scams but yet runs lottery's to make money. The only sure money is to get a job and work or receive a huge inheritance.
they called me to and said something about 7000 dollars which was from the goverment and said i wouldn't have to pay it back,I said what is this about and they said they already said it once and than hung up.very strange and don't give out any information to anyone over the phone.
