Insurance scam. Report to FBI! Got a call from them about a pain cream. I'm 20 years old with no pain!! Hung up on me when I told them I didn't have pain.
They promised me a pain cream in the mail after they verified my information i.e. name of primary physician, insurance providers and date of birth. When i called back a few days later, someone named John answered and asked if it was me (by name) calling. The product hasn't arrived as of yet. At first He said two days, when I called back, he then said seven days, of which both has come and gone.
This number has been calling me for weeks and weeks. When the leave a message it is just one word and you can't make it out. Tonight I acutely spoke to a representative and just like other people on this posting they asked for my insurance information. I asked there company name and she said, RX Pharmacy or something i could not understand, even when I asked twice. They then asked for my insurance information and I asked why, if you are verify it, you should know it. She then asked me to verify my address and I said what does that have to do with anything, she said because she is verifying my health insurance, I said, " I don't have health insurance so how can you verify it?" She then hung up on me.
My husband then called back and we received a male and we said, what is this? He said, we are just verifying your health insurance information. He said he had to talk with Valerie, so i got on the phone and said, 'what do you need." He said, do you have back pain, then mentioned all these different areas on the back, and if I had pain. I said, " Yes, I have lower back pain." He then asked on a scale from 1-10 how bad is it, i said, an 8, the last question was who is your insurance company. I lied and said Kaiser. He then mentioned my address (my correct address) and said, okay that all we need to verify. I asked what they were going to do and what kind of company and he said they are a topical cream company and they will contact my doctor.
He then did not give me any other information nor would he let me go to his supervisor. He ended up hanging up on me and when i called back the number was no longer in service.
This is a total scam, but I am not sure what exactly they are doing, billing insurance companies, or selling it to the end user, does anyone have a theory - these people do not seem honest or trustworthy.
