People!People! Whenever you get an unwanted call. Just do what I do. Repeat several times. NO ENGLISH! NO ENGISH!
If they ask you what language? Just make up a language. Have fun.
Thank God! for small miracles! You rock. It is so good to see someone's persistence pay off. We are all eternally grateful. Let us all take a page from this victim's book and keep fighting till it works. Thank You
I've been on the Do Not Call Registry for years. Today is May 8, 2009, and I just got a hang-up call from 239-498-3522. The only other thing caller id says is Bonita Springs, FL.
I've seen the number on my caller ID starting in January of 2009. I've picked up a few times to a recorded message with push button options. I was very surprised when I did get a live person on the line and I very politely asked to be added to their do not call list as I am already registered with the DNC National registery and their calls are a nuisance. I was told that they would do that but since we are speaking she wanted some personal information to see if she could help me out with consolidating some of my debt, I don't remember what she said their "low fee" was. I'm not in need of these services and again politely stated I was not interested and to remove me from their call list. I think I heard the word stupid come from her end of the line, I said good bye and hung up. Don't you know ... They called today - no voice recording, no live operator - I hung up and could not get a dial tone for the next 18 minutes. It's frustrating.
I receive calls from this number incessantly. I never answer because I have been cautioned on numerous occasions that even answering can cause you problems. It is something along the lines of "don't respond to suspect/unknown emails because that completes the link, or let's them know that they have connected with an active computer, person. It is better to delete possible good email than to chance it. With the phone number above I am constantly setting up a block. I also do a double click, in essence connect/disconnect. I wish there was something all of us could do to prevent this endless harassment.
