Received the same call which wanted my computer to be turned on. So I went along with the scam and then blasted a very fowl langauge assault.
The party hung up, they keep call 3 so far today. The priblem is, I don't have a house computer. :)
Obama - clearly you haven't noticed that the very best security and firewalls, often are vulnerable to calls and computer scams originating domestically and from around the world. If you run out of toilet paper, be sure to get on the Internet and blame Obama.
Called this morning at 10 AM. Didn't recognize number - caller ID indicated coming from Naples, FL.
When answering device answered, phone went dead.
Have had a lot of trouble with many similar calls about a month ago. Three our four daily, somtimes twice a day. Started writing them down and blocking them. Now only get a few, but most have been scams, marketing surveys, or solicitors.
This number appears on my caller ID as Karl Mayer.
I don't pick up numbers I do not recognize. I look for it here first.
This number has been calling me as early as 6:30 am and as late as 10 pm. I almost answered this morning when they called again at 7:30 am because I thought perhaps it was a wrong number.
Now that I know what it is I will report it to the FTC.
This number had called me today at least 6 times in the last hour. They are calling a dedicated fax machine. The caller ID is saying Florida no other name. You think if they got a fax machine they would stop calling. When I looked up the phone number by reverse look up it says Karl Mayer. I hope they stop calling now that I put the number on the no call list. I don't know how to block the number or believe me I would.
