I received this a call from this number at 9:22 MST. I did not answer as I know of no one in Michigan except GM Motors, and they always email me. I don't answers numbers I don't recognize. I look them up online to see who/what they are. I know from all the info I've read online, these spammers or scammers connect to the first person that picks up, the rest is a hang up. The reason it is disconnected when you try to call back is they are using a device which allows them to spoof a number which has usually been disconnected. This is so you can't call their outing going only scamming call centers. Thus the Do Not Call List does not stop them. Here's what I do to stop an unwanted call from a number coming into my cell phone. Under settings, I set the number or area code and exchange, ex. 248-755, to reject by "Starts with" and save it. I have quite a list I built. The thing is, if they call back, and usually do, they get a message that the party is not receiving calls. I hope this info helps those who may wonder how to stop these annoying calls. I really feel for those who pick up and fall for scams.
I answered, machine picked up said to press one to talk with someone about lowering my credit card rates. Indian fella picked up. He asked if I was interested in lowing my intrest rates. I said no I'm interested in you guys not calling me anymore. He sat silently for about thirty seconds while I said you just not going to answer. Hello.. Then hung up. I tried to call back but number said its disconnected or no longer in service. This is about the 10 time they have done this to me...
