Yeah dude I got the same call from this number as well, same "Hi Thing" Its pretty messed up that citizens of the united states cant even keep thier own cell phone number private anymore. Im thinking about tracking these people down myself. Its sad too because people like me actually do try thier best to handle things within the law. But the law only helps us so much, then they just dont care after a while. *Sigh* Wheres the Gat?
Just got this call. Here is the voicemail transcript:
"Hey guys, Alison Nybor? here, we spoke on the phone last week about possibly trying to lower your interest rate their reducing your monthly payment on your credit card so I wanted to get back and let you know that I did find a solution. We've got a program I can lower the interest rates to as low as 1.5% and possibly tell your mother payment in half and since you are only making the minimum payments, this would be great opportunity for you. This'll be my last courtesy call today. So gimme a ring at 1(888) 261-4660 Thanks."
I have no credit card debt so this is a scam for sure. I sent them to spam and blocked the number forever.
Same crap, called but did not answer. Added to my list of 50+ numbers not to answer on my phone.
No message left.
Calling back gives a disconnected signal, perhaps a good sign?
Wow this is so weird that so many of us are getting these calls right now as in the last couple hours. Anyway I got the same thing "uhhh hi" man's voice. I said hello twice and then it hung up. Strange thing is I'm in NYC but from Seattle/Tacoma and 253 is an area code that a lot of my friends and family have so that's why I answered... strange that it was this. Anyway hopefully they don't keep calling.
