I had a message on my recorder that I was to call this number immediately and it said that they were the criminal investigation department of the IRS and I'm being sued by the IRS to call immediately.
I received a message from the number 931-566-3671 this afternoon. The message was a prerecorded voice (female computer voice) with the following verbiage: "IRS. Internal Revenue Services. The reason for this call is to inform you that the IRS is filing lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately on our department number 253-292-2555. I repeat 253-292-2555. Thank you."
That there is no "a" in filing A lawsuit (It just says filing lawsuit), is not a typo. I called the number back the first time and got a busy signal. I hung up and redialed, and got a man with a thick accent who did not immediately identify himself. I told him I had just received a message to call this number and he asked me what my name was. When I said I was not comfortable giving my name or any information out to a stranger, he hung up the phone.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
It would be interesting to see what we all have in common and see how they got our numbers. When I called back it just rings and rings. It is a scam. So sad what people are doing now a days.
