They called me about winning 10,000. Asked me to purchase a 4.95 green dot pack and put 249. on it. I was to put that money on there as a deposit then take it to western union to receive not only my 10,000 but also the 249 back in cash. But i had to give them the green dot code number. The man had an accent and kept assuring me this wasn't a scam. But when i googled the company US Government Grant Dept. it said this dept. does not exist. This is totally a scam!!
Called and said they were Federal Government and I was awarded $7,000,00 for paying my taxes on time.
Did I want it cash from Western Union or deposited in my account I said cash.
He then gave me a code to give them when I call the number 253-693-4892 to receive my money!
I did not call the number or give my banking information!
