Got a call from these scam artist. my grant money number was GT2097. I was asked to call back at 253-693-4892. They told me I was going to receive 10,000 as soon as I went to Money Gram store and gave them $225.00. They verified my phone number which is my work number the address they have is my work address, luckily all this information they have is my work which is a Police Department since I am an officer. Furthermore, after i let them do there speech/talk I said this is a scam they argued no its not a scam as soon as I mentioned that I work for the police department they hung up. Poor people that fall for this major scam!!!!
I got a call this morning from two sources one is 253-210-6601, 253-693-4892 and with the same above messages all others posted here that i am good citizen blah blah blah prize money of $10,000 with my name and address etc - asked me to provide my work location and bank details- and right then i knew - its a scam - so i responded back saying i will call back - caller definitely did not have American accent - so beware - scammers improved the scam level to next level from emails to direct phone calls.
just had that call about the 10.000 dollar thing and they wanted me to send them 200.00 then i would get my government check of 10.00 thousand dollars yea ok since when does the gov make u pay them before u get a grant? no i dont think so. i have had a gov grant and i never had to pay to get it so be careful people it is a scam.
