Called me. I did not recognize the number so did not answer. I am also on the DNC list. I am not interested in anything these people have to say to me whether I am being paid or not. It is still very intrusive.
Called my cell & I let it go to VM... If I don't recognize the number, I don't answer. Usually, I'll give them one chance to call & leave a message; then, if no msg left, I block the caller... After reading these posts... They're blocked after one strike.
Got two calls from this number, three hours apart. After 3 rings, I picked up the handset, said nothing.
I heard a young woman's voice ask for me by my last name, I said nothing.
She asked again after about 5 seconds, I said nothing.
Several seconds later, the caller hung up.

If these are a research company, like the others have said, I have no idea what research they are trying to do.
In the past, whenever I answered a phone and it was someone wanting to do a survey, I told them "We don't do surveys here and don't call us again because you are wasting your time."
I got a call from them 6:45pm this evening. They were doing a survey for the insurance company I use. I declined to participate. Not a scam in my instance. Just a call I didn't want to get.
