Called me. I did not recognize the number so did not answer. I am also on the DNC list. I am not interested in anything these people have to say to me whether I am being paid or not. It is still very intrusive.
Like a fool, I went on Yelp looking for a lawn service today, only to discover that 1/2 of their listings are for websites collecting data to sell as lead generation. What a nightmare. This number started calling me tonight, and given the posts here, I'm sure that via the lawn service search they got a hold of my 411. Btw, of the lawn people I got on the phone, most tried to hard sell me on signing long contracts, and one guy got downright hostile when I wouldn't give him my cc#, like I was wasting his time. He sounded like he worked in a boiler room. I need to get a new junk phone anyway. But it's truly sad when you can't even dial out without being in full defense mode.
They called my cell phone (which happens to be on the do not call list) to speak to my mother in law. My mother in law is not associated with my cell number, she does not give out my number to anyone. My mother in law hasn't spoken in 10 years because of a stroke and she's disabled. How they got my cell number and associated her with it, I don't know. I told the guy this is not her number. He insisted on speaking with her. I asked if I can take a message, he hung up on me. I called the number back and got a recording for some creative research company.
I work for Legacy Community Health AND I am a patient as well. That is a company "Creative Consumer" hired to help do customers surveys in regards to their recent visit to our clinics. I know our clinic does this to receive feedback so that we can improve and provide the best customer service for our patients. So it can be in general agencies perhaps trying to receive feedback.
