I received several calls from this number. I live in the Houston area. I have been involved in the Amber Alert, and the person whom called me said that they were taking donations to support Ambert Alert, I explained my work with Amber Alert. He hung up.
A man with a foreign or faked accent called claiming to be with the "Federal Order of Border Police" ( doesn't exist). He asked for me then hung up. He was asking very personal information. I called back blocking my number, nobody answered. This call is from the Houston area.
I got a call today from this number, the person was rude, and demanding, he said he's with the united health care, He refused to give me any further information and hang up,,,
got the same thing caller id say margarita garza and asked to speak to someone in particular and when told was not here just hung up if try to call back it rings someone answers and hangs up anoying
Answered and they knew my name. Weird.
Said his name, was a name I did not recognize. Weird.
I asked how could I help them. They said they were with the sheriff's department. Weird.
I told them it must be a prank call because there really isn't any reason for the sheriff's department to call me.
He said it was because I donated last year. I didn't. Weird.
I informed him I didn't, he was adamant I did.
Asked if I wanted to donate $150.00 this year. I declined. He persisted. I declined again.
My personal opinion, this person was just trying to garner credit card information. The call did not sound like a professional call for donations to law enforcement.
I missed a call and called the number right back but it was busy. I thought maybe they were leaving a voice mail but after several minutes there was no message on my phone. I called it back again and it picked up but I could not hear anyone on the other line; after 10-15 seconds of silence I disconnected the call. Very strange call, but if the above post is true; I have never donated to a charity for law enforcement either.
