i just received a message from an officer john addams saying he was from the office of federal bureau of investigation and that i have an investigation against my social and listed the last four of my social and that if i didn't respond to his call may god be with me and he too has a heavy indian accent. when i called the number back a recording comes on with a lady you can barely understand thank god i did a phone number look up and saw these complaints, cause i know if the FBI wanted to contact me first thing is that i would receive a letter with the government official stamp telling me when to contact them and not threating phone calls, they know if you threaten someone right off the bat chances are that person would runa dn hide not call ou back. so whom ever they are take me to court and prove your case.
they called my home stating he was a police officer ( Officer Brian Hunt) . when i called back same guy answered the phone and said he was from a credit bureau and he asked for my case number or phone number that they called, when i gave him the number he said he could not find anything in the system and when i explained to him that since he had nothing i would be contacting my local police department he gave me a name (my name) and then tried to use reverse psychology by saying he would contact the police department and then he hung up . WHAT A CROCK!!!
THIS IS AN EXTORTION SCAM. Scammers pretend to be law enforcement (police, sheriff, Feds, AG's Office, fake cop agencies with made-up names) and may be using bought/hacked loan application data to extort money or personal info for fictitious crimes.

I got a call also. The guy had a really heavy East Indian accent. He wanted to talk to my friend, whose phone I was using at the time. He stated that he's a police officer (Ron Sneider) and that there's been some kind of complaint against her & that he needs a call from her or her attorney a.s.a.p.
I texted my friend about this a couple of hours ago & now I'm sitting at the library computer reading this. I just decided to type in the phone number & hit "Enter".
Thanks guys, I just sent a text out to my friend warning her of this scam.
this number called my phone also asking for my boyfriend saying he owed he was officer snieder and said he owed 1,200 but if he didnt want to go to court and have a warrant out for his arrest all he had to do was pay him $700 i told him i would get an attorney and he hung up.
